Colour coordination is a learnable skill. Master it and every outfit you wear will look intentional.
The 60-30-10 Rule
Sixty percent of your outfit in a dominant colour (usually a neutral), thirty percent in a secondary colour, ten percent in an accent. Applied to a summer outfit: sixty percent sand linen set, thirty percent white tee underneath, ten percent tan leather sandals and gold watch. This ratio creates visual harmony without monotony.
Start with Navy
When in doubt, build from navy. Navy pairs with sand, white, cream, grey, and virtually any earth tone. It is the most versatile anchor colour in men's fashion and the most forgiving for beginners. Master navy combinations first — the rest of colour theory follows naturally.
